After testing it a couple of times, I came to the conclusion that the Ping Rapture V2 driver can deliver 5-8 yards more than Ping G10 and other similar golf drivers. Along with that, the sound off the tee is very pleasing. It doesn’t produce a tink or a hollow sound…it’s a solid sound that comes from a high quality golf driver.

So what sets the Ping G10 driver from the rest of the pack? When it comes to cosmetics, there’s very little difference between the Ping G10 driver and its ancestors (so to speak) – the G2 and G5 golf drivers. However, when it comes to construction and design, the Ping G10 golf driver blows the rest of the pack out of the water! First and foremost, the engineers of Ping G10 golf driver have worked hard and long to enhance the weight distribution of the club.

There are selected sections on the club, especially on the crown, where it was made of thinner material…giving the engineers greater control on the weight whether it needs to be moved down or further behind the club. The end result? The Ping G10 driver has a higher launch, lower spin, as well as higher moment of inertia (known as MOI for short). You can ask any golf player around and they’ll agree that these 3 things make the trinity of outstanding golf performance!

Ping has come a long way in designing their drivers! I’d say that the Ping G10 is at par with other drivers in the market when it comes to looks and performance departments. Personally, I love the dark and gloss black paint. It’s stylish and sophisticated.
