At hindsight, one of the latest offerings of Cleveland – the Cleveland Launcher (it was introduced to the golf-playing public in the last months of 2008) looks nothing more than those clubs that have a 460cc head where you could cook an egg and bacon on.

However, don’t be deceived by its not-so-special looks. Just in case you don’t know, the sole plate’s design has been tweaked by the engineers of Cleveland Launcher down to the last detail to move more weight down and back from the club’s face. And this allows the center of gravity to be moved to the ideal spot…creating a more consistent and accurate shot while increasing your driving distance. By the way, the weight is located at the part of the driver which looks like a silver horseshoe.

Being a low-ball and left-to-right hitter, my regular golf driver has 13 degrees of loft combined with a heavier shaft. While it performs well, I think I could get a better driver. And this was proven to be true by the Cleveland Launcher. Testing it in the field, I very impressed with the driving distance I’m getting with this golf driver.

However, this driver is not without any problems. When I first played with this golf driver, I was having a lot of problems with the control. Heck! My balls were flying miles to the right. I simply can’t keep the ball on range. Fortunately, someone who uses the same golf club (he’s right behind me when I was playing) offered me some help.

He’s using a Superlite (and it’s really super light with 50 grams!) Fujikura Fit-On Golf Shaft. Using the said shaft is very rewarding. Thanks to this shaft, using the Cleveland Launcher is smoother to use. Now that is not to say that the Cleveland Launcher can’t stand alone without the Fujikura Fit-On Gold Shaft. It may work for you…as it did for other golfers.

I’d say that the Cleveland Launcher is a driver worth taking a look at and getting!

It was back in 2006 when Cleveland finally unveiled the HiBore Driver. And the first thng that everyone in the golf world noticed is the newly designed head. It brought the whole golf world on its knees. And 3 years later, we now find the latest release in the Cleveland HiBore series – the XLS Monster Driver.

As the name suggests, this golf driver is definitely a monster.

Looking and observing at the drives and driving distance that me and my fellow golf players hit (with the Cleveland HiBore XLS Monster Driver), there’s no way you can miss or falter with this monster golf driver from Cleveland. The whole golf club, especially its head and face, is beefed up with the latest structural design and technology that separated this club from the rest of the pack.

When someone is hitting with the Cleveland HiBore XLS Monster Driver at the course, the first thing you’re going to notice is that it produces a hell of a sound! It’s very loud! A nice shot and swing will produce a sound as if the golf ball was fired from a heavy-duty canon.

If catching people’s eyes and attention is your thing, then by all means grab the Cleveland HiBore XLS Monster Driver. But there’s more to it than just catching everyone’s attention. The speed that the ball comes off the face is amazing. This alone makes the monster a hot golf driver.

As for the flight, it’s almost perfect! Looking at it, you can liken it to a flight drawn by an engineer. It’s the perfect replica of what an ideal launch angle should be. Having a square face coupled with neutral weighting, working the ball into a fade took less effort. Matter of fact, there was a fellow club member of mine who’s having dispersion issues with his former golf driver. But this was easily remedied and eliminated when he grabbed and used the Cleveland HiBore XLS Monster Driver.

Needless to say, this is one forgiving and easy-to-use golf driver that deserves a look!

The Cleveland HiBore XLS Driver is close to seventeen percent larger than it’s XL counterpart. The third in line, and also the best of the Cleveland HiBore Drivers. Not only is it made with a red granite shaft for higher swing speeds the dimensions are nothing to balk at, measuring in inches, forty seven by five by five. The Cleveland HiBore XLS Driver is great for skilled and beginner players alike with higher lifts and keeping the ball straight. The driver has full face performance as well as titanium spines inside the club head that makes for faster balls. All this put together enhances what was already there with the XL driver, but goes above and beyond what many golfers expected. The value is also a major plus to the product. With no other comparisons besides its predecessor, the Cleveland HiBore XLS Driver can only be compared to its higher priced counterparts that are practically identical in attributes. It also has a duo of shafts, as well as custom shafts available for purchase.

Fans of the product rave about the wonderful construction and ease of use. The Cleveland HiBore XLS receives masses of praise for the design, usage, and ease. Some say that there is no need to purchase a new driver, if they already own the XL version. Others say that the individuality of the Cleveland HiBore XLS puts it in a new category, in the contrast of seeing it as a build upon the XL. In that aspect, the truth is completely opinionated. Not only does the product have an unbeatable price tag, it also uses top of the line equipment to further your game, and provide a pleasant experience for the golfer. The Cleveland HiBore XLS is an innovative product and great value that is definitely a wonderful addition to any bag.
